uzumakifan4 asked:

I play piano and I only play songs from memory.
It can get annoying when I forget parts.

So I really want to learn to read sheet music.
I don’t want to learn only simple things.
I want something that will teach me from the most basic, to the most advanced thing there is about sheet music.

Can anybody recommend me what they used to learn sheet music or how they learned?

    learning to read music

Just go out to your local music store (if you have one nearby) or look online for those “How to play Piano” books. Those books will teach you how to read sheet music. But you’re going to HAVE to start with the basics, good reading skills don’t come overnight.

Learn How to Read Music Notes

I learned how to read sheet music by buying a beginner piano book. And then all it takes is practice. Make sure to look at the notes themselves and figure out which note is connected to which key by looking at a basic scale.
It took me awhile to read sheet music because I only looked at the fingering (the numbers above each note). So my advice to you is to focus on the notes themselves and get to know them.

Try the program below. It’s a perfect fit for you because you can already play the piano, so it’s just your music reading skills that are holding you back.

The guy says you can even learn how to read music in a week! Also, check out this article before you decide anything:
