How to read Music notes?

Hey Guys,

I want to learn how to read music notes when playing my guitar, previously I’ve been using tabs, but I want to expand my view on music.

Do you know of any websites where I can learn to read notes and play them on the guitar?

I also want to buy Guitar Pro 6 but I want to learn how to read music notes first before making music sheets.

Thanks guys.

p.s. Roughly how long do you think it will take to master this?
