youtube:easy songs (they go kind of fast but if you learn the chords fingerings you should be good)

ultimate-guitar.com gives you free tabs (music for the guitar, not the notes but the fingerings)

this should get you in the right direction. goodluck

Download some free, basic guitar chords in the hopes that you will be able to form them correctly.

Toughen up your calluses. It takes about three weeks of daily practice to build them beyond the pain.

In your free tutorage on the Internet, find a website that illustrates rhythm patterns and moods.

All chords that you gather from the Internet should be drawn on paper for quick referencing. Start a music file if there is no problem in having paper to write upon and a pen or pencil available.

In several years after you have worked hard enough, invest in a quality chord book and professional lessons.

    How to Sight Read Music

There is some good beginner material at justinguitar.com in their Beginner course, but their intermediate lessons need to be bought on dvd. The beginner material will teach you how to read tablature (so that you don’t need to learn how to read music). It is ok to start out with tablature, but it is helpful in the long run to learn how to read music.

Once you have some of the basic chords down from stages 1 to 3, then check YouTube for easy guitar songs.

Starting is the hardest part. Learn how to practice properly and you will advance much faster. Best of luck!!

There are a few helpful articles here too.
