How to Sight Read Music
Most of the time, when someone is taught music theory, they are also taught how to read the treble and bass clefs. It’s not too hard, but for beginners, I always recommend that you keep studying and practicing until you finally get it right. um…i started learning piano when i was five, and i did sight-reading for exams and new songs so i learned to read sheet music that way…u did theory…i think that might help, but i’m not sure… you could try buying classical music books and learn to play piano…if you search on google, you might find some wesites teaching you how to read sheet-music..and that’s all i know i guess…
try, they have some free classical sheet music and if you search by difficulty, you can try something really easy first…
oh yeah, and u never said what instrument so i assumed you’re talking about piano…
if you want any more websites for free sheet music, email me, cuz i know a few useful ones…
good luck…

It varies among different people. I’ve known people who picked it up fairly quickly, while I’ve been playing for 12 years and I still can’t sight read very well. But if you’d like sheet music to practice with, I suggest getting a program that can convert midi files to sheet music (Cakewalk or Magix midi studio, for instance), Then you can find midi files online for just about any song you can think of.
