what is the fastest way to read, learn, and memorize music?

im on my highschool drumline and i play the tenors and i am having some trouble memorizing and learning all the music fast enough. anything helps, thank you.

    Just play it over and over and you will remember it. Like just play the song at least 20+ times a week.

    Record yourself on your iPod and play it back for you to listen to often. Maybe name notes followed by their sound, and at the end of each line play the entire line of notes. This might give you a visual picture in your mind of what you are hearing – if not then you need to do it the old fashioned way. Set time aside to practice much more than what you have been. If you’ve been doing about an hour daily then you might have to step up your game to about two or three hours per day. Mayb do not do it all as one time block ’cause it may not be so much the time spent as it is the frequency. So maybe you get better results from the three hours if you do thre times a day for one hour each over the weekends for sure. During the week it may be hard enough to get two hours in but at one hour each.
    Maybe come home do an hour while you are fresh in the door, then do what you have to do and come back about 8:00 pm to do your other hour before winding down for the night.
    Setup a schedule of practice.. you ” Must” get a lot of practice time in to get music in your head.
