hi there, id suggest taking a guitar class outside of schooll, a more advanced course would help…

Firstly, get a guitar and play a lot. Then, buy a lot of those instructional DVDs. I give guitar lessons, but I am in PA.

    How to Read Music Notes

Dear, hs senior I think its good that u are taking a guitar class at school thats really good. If you have a job or saved up mola$ go to a local guitar store and look at the guitars that they have in their selection. Now dont go shopping spree you may end up buying and then hating the guitar you get. But about playing there are internet sites where you can download music sheets and learn how to play different songs. Also ebay has books on how to read music, just type in the categorie and it’ll show it 4u. If not go to a library and check one out, this may help.

the only lesson you need besides tuning is the one where you learn not to play a small fender tube amp barefoot in the grass.

I started with learning the most important cords & then picked songs that I could cord & sing to. This way way you have a chance to learn both & don’t have to have your friend around to make any comments on your singing or playing. This is the way I started & now I’d would like to learn how to play the guitar the Spanish way. As for reading music, if you have an ear for misic, this will help alot.

    Good Luck
