How to Read Music
Yes, there are resources on line and self teaching books available. Online, search for “drum lessons online” or go to your local music store.
Other than “Wipe-out” there are few or no other songs that can be recognized when only layed on the drums. Learning to read drum music is about playing a part in a band. Books on rudiments and exercises are the key to getting going. Listen to songs you like and learn to play the same patterns that are on the recording. This will give you chops and styles to draw from when you are playing with other musicians. The real key is pratice, pratice, pratice.
