How to Read Music
First things first – you need to know what notes are what on the piano. Do you know that? If not, look it up on this site.
That site also shows you what notes are what on the ‘stave’ (the name for all the lines on music sheets).
I remember treble clef (the higher, more squiggly clef) notes on the stave by recalling that all of the notes in the gaps spell ‘FACE’ when read from bottom to top, and the notes of the lines read out the mnemonic ‘Every Good Boy Deserves Food’ from bottom to top.
On the bass clef, the spaces read out the mnemonic ‘All Cows Eat Grass’ (from bottom to top), and the lines read out ‘Great Big Dancing Furry Animals’ (from bottom to top).

Learn How to Read Music
Practice, practice, practice. The only way you’re going to get better and be able to read quickly and accurately is to practice. You will be slow and make mistakes in the beginning, but that is okay. You will improve. The more songs you pick up and try to play through, the better.
