I have been playing by ear for over 15 years. I am having problems breaking old habits. One thing that kills me is sheet music. I am studying piano with a piano teacher however im still having problems sight reading notes fast. I know practice practice practice but is there something I can practice with that will help? I can read sheet music its just slow. I should be able to look at a note and know immediately what it is not study it for 10 seconds and count before i figure it out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. What helped you to learn to read sheet music faster?

How to Sight Read Music
well of course practice and practice! but learning how to sight read takes a longgg time to learn. for some people, it come naturally. but for others it requires some time. i recommend to just keep at it and maybe practice some technic and scales.
