I’m learning to play the piano, and since it’s my first time playing an instrument I also have to learn to read music. Do you have any tips/advice on learning how to read it?

well since i cant type the way the notes look so i cant tell u the name of them and how many beats they get
but on treble cleff on the staff the lines are e g b d f
    and the spaces are f a c e
    and on bass cleff the lines are g b d f a
    and the spaces are a c e g
u probably have no idea what im talking about
so that proves that u cant just learn how to read music from yahoo answers

well you could do the whole face for the spaces, and then Every Good Boy Deserves Fun for the lines. then you take your music and write the letters by the notes and little by little you stop doing that. and if you need to learn the keys just label them with letter stickers, then take them off as you start to learn where they are. and start with easy music please. then after you get the hang of which notes are where you learn the lower octave ((idk what it is, but piano has it so you should learn it.)) then you start learning half quarter whole 8th 16th 32nd and so on notes. then the pp p p mf f ff dynamics. and all the rest. then you’ll do good. =D
