Learn How to Read Music Notes
This is kind of childish but i would suggest getting some really basic begginer music for whatever it is you are trying to play. find a symbol or tequnique you want to learn like a slur, than go to the begginer music and find an easy song that uses a slur or several. start out really easy and than just do whatever, especially if your self-taught you could just fool-around with some melodies that use what you are trying.
. i hope what i’ve provided helps, and good luck
as cliche as this sounds a good warm-up is the magic elixer of music, if you do it every day it’ll make you sound better, there’s a reason people do it

Learn How to Read Music Notes
In my opinion the best way to read music is to start learning an instrument. It can be a simple harmonica or guitar if you lack funds but usually it’s piano because it covers a wider range; even a small electric keyboard is useful. Actually, the voice is also a basic instrument, so joining a local church choir would be very good as a beginning and at no cost to you. Just a few suggestions.
How to Sight Read Music
The best way is to play songs you know slowly so you know where each note is on your instrument. If you do this with several different songs often, your brain will be trained to see notes in relation to what they are on your instruments. You will keep getting better until you can read a piece of music without making too many mistake.
