    Sight Reading Music

    It’s a good idea to start with singing from sheet music. That way, you can concentrate on what pitches the notes represent, without being distracted by playing the correct pitches on an instrument. Then, after you are familiar with what pitches the notes on the staves represent, you can pick up an instrument and start sight reading.
