Just getting over a cold so not my normal voice. I should have said in the video that the base notes are played with the left hand. When I started to learn guitar. I was told, “Oh you don’t want to learn to read music” Well , Yes I do. I did learn to at school about 60 years ago. Some of it I remember. It was never put to use, not even at school. No instruments them days. I have done the same thing for Guitar and Ukulele and do them all in sequence. Playing, sort of, many simple pieces. If there are TABS I tend to play to them. I will have to blank them out if I am going to be able to look at the music and play the note with out thinking.

    Learn How to Read Music

@oscarshwartz Hi Lee, Haven’t made much progress on the keyboard lately I been concentrating on getting “Yesterday” and “Autumn leaves” down to memory. It seems to be working. I fingerpick them. A new friend is learning. doing strumming and I have copied him as he has ago. this morning I downloaded some flatpicking songs and have started on them. Will I ever learn to do one thing at atime!!!??? I could have started guitar 60 years ago. instead of a few years ago. cheers John

Hi John. I think it’s great that your learning new things. I’ve been learning to play the guitar for 65 years or so, and still cant play it very well. I play everything by ear, and wish that I had learned to read music. Mostly for my own satisfaction. Thanks for dropping by my channel, I appreciate it!!—-Lee

Many thanks for that kind comment Ron. I was beginning to think that no one could find any thing nice to say. As I said “not my normal voice” Which has varied over the years, depending where I lived at the time. Next video!? I’m starting not to worry if it isn’t very good, Will think about it. John
